About me

Hi, I'm Alvaro Perez Amado, a software engineer with a passion for AI, web development, and building impactful applications. My work and studies have taken me across multiple countries — from A Coruña, Spain 🇪🇸 to Munich, Germany 🇩🇪, and now Milwaukee, USA 🇺🇸, where I'm currently based.

I hold degrees in Computer Engineering and Software Engineering from the University of A Coruña, Spain. As part of my academic journey, I studied Computer Science at the University of Liège, Belgium, on a merit-based scholarship. I also completed a Master's in Artificial Intelligence at Universidad Alfonso X (July 2025), specializing in machine learning, NLP, and AI-driven software solutions.

My professional experience spans multiple industries and cutting-edge technologies. I started my career in Spain at Trileuco and Inditex, where I developed critical applications for some of the world's most recognized brands, including ZARA, Pull&Bear, and Bershka. I then moved to Germany to help build the engineering team at SocialBee, where I worked on a job search platform for refugees and later led AI-powered job matching, fine-tuning LLMs and shipping NLP and RAG workflows that pair 6,000+ candidates with employers.

Today, I'm a Software Engineer at Direct Supply in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, building software for the senior living industry. In parallel, I serve as Head of Architecture and AI at SocialBee, where I own the technical vision, drive AI integration across engineering workflows using agentic tools, LLMs, and MCP servers, and coach engineers to work AI-native.
